Home Protested JERUSALEM, Jan. 30 (U. P.).— British soldiers and police searched the house of Rabbi Yehuda Leib , chairman of the Jewish agency executive in Palestine. This drew a vigorous protest from the agency. The search was made while armored cars guarded the government hospital which housed Maj. H. A. 1. Collins, elderly British banker. Maj. Collins is being treated for injuries suffered during his three-day abduction by the Jewish underground. He was set free last night outside the hospital. Maj. Collins refused to give an account of his experiences to newsmen.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 30 (U. P.).— American quarters here believe Sec retary of State George C. Marshall may submit the Chinese problem to Big Three mediation at Moscow in March. Such a course would not be wel comed in most American circles in China, but many said they “see no other way." / American efforts to mediate differences between the Nationalist government and the Communists have been abandoned, Mr, Marshall announced yesterday in Washington.

Chinese Quintuplet Boys, Mother Die

SHANGHAI, Jan. 30 (U, P).~ The quintuplet boys born at Yencheng to the wife of a Chinese sergeant have died and so has their mother. The magistrate of Yencheng officially informed tHe United Press today, The deaths occurred only a few days after the multiple births occurred, the magistrate said in an “urgent” telegram. The message took 11 days to reach Shanghai from Yencheng, a town 80 miles south of Changchow along ° the PeipingHankow railway.
