In the outdoor training school, Brown, Siripp and other members of the faculty set a fast pace for the youngsters in all departments of the game, with the emphasis on throwing, batting and running. Fielding drills and practice games are played. It all adds up to keeping Brown in ship shape. He's a spirited pastimer and a. tireless worker, even while practicing. Since Brown has not had an opportunity to get measured for an Indianapolis uniform, he borrowed his 1946 Pittsburgh Pirate play suit in which to appear before pupils. Prior to last year, he put in several seasons on the St. Louis Cardinal infield. Since Brown will be making his debut ag a manager this year, he is not overlooking any bets to bone up on pointers in the “master minding” end of the game. Most of his big league career was spent as a meniber of the Cardinals and it's a safe bet that “hustle” will be Jimmy's key word when he issues {raining instructions to the Indians when they assemble at their
