Butler university's Bulldogs will open their bid for the Indiana conference basketball title tonight at the Fieldhouse when they play host to the Canterbury Warriors of Danville, The Warriors, featuring high scoring young James Springer, 6-foot-9 oenter, enter tonight's contest with victories over Anderson, Wabash, Indiana Central and Defiance and losses to DePauw and Ball State. The Bulldogs have won over Pittsburgh and Cincinnati and lost to Wisconsin. Coach Tony Hinkle devoted Thursday and Friday practice sessions to methods of stopping the scoring attack of Springer but did not see fit to change the starting lineup that he has used in previous games. At the forward positions will be létterman Jerry Cranny, last year's high scoring ace; and Ralph (Buckshot) O'Brien, converted guard.
