DePauw Pushes

Memorial Drive

Alumni, Dads, Friends Here Are Solicited

Solicitation for funds for the memorial student union building at DePauw university is now in full swing in Marion county, Adrian Wilhoite, county co-chairman for the drive, revealed today. No reports have been made as yet as to. what portion of the $475,000 goal is being pledged by Marion county alumni and friends of DePauw, Mr. Wilhoite said. Besides the personal solicitation of Indianapolis DePauw alumni, letters have been mailed to Indianapolis fathers of present DePauw students. These letters are written by W. A. Johnston, president of the Illinois Central railroad and president of the DePauw Dads’ association. "Mr. Johnston's letter states that the proposed new: university
