12—David C. Gerard, nationally known magazine cartoonist, has been named a member of the Crawfordsville city council to serve through next year. He replaces Walter Remley, who moved out of the ward. : A lifelong Crawfordsville resident, Mr, Gerard was graduated from Wabash college in 1931. His cartoons appear regularly in a number of weekly and monthly magazines, and before the war some of his work “was used in foreign publications.
