‘WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 (U. P).— © Then Secretary of State Henry L. Stimson gave J. P. Morgan & Co an angry dressing down in 1931

S. foreign policy | series for 1031, chiefly a record of this country's efforts to Prevent | financial collapse in Europe and to prepare for the Geneva disarmament conference of 1933, Mr. Stimson said he “blew up” when a Morgan representative gave | him a “closely reasoned argument” | why his firm should not lend to Germany.
