Ei Lilly 2 Co. Worker Dies on Golf Links

‘Winfield B. Sisson, Eli Lilly & Co. employee who died Saturday while playing golf at Pleasant Run golf course, will be buried in Crown Hill tomorrow following services at 11 a. m in Flanner & Buchanan mortuary. : Mr. Sisson, who was 53, had been with the pharmaceutical firm 25 years and was assistant director of quotations. A native of Hazelton, he was a member of the Methodist church there and was a veteran of 22 months overseas service in world war I as an aviator, He held membership in the Scottish Rite, Broad Ripple post, Amerfcan Legion, Society of Indiana Pioneers, and the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at DePauw university. Survived by Wife Playing with Mr. Sisson on the Pleasant Run course were A. L. Perkins, 1434 N. Delaware st.; R. W. Garrison, 4315 Central ave. and George Seidensticker, 4822 Guilford ave. . Services for Dr. Will David Howe of New York, former instructor at Butler and Indiana universities, will be held today in Mt. Kisco, N.Y, Dr. "Howe, 73-year-old educator and retired editor, died Friday in an Athens, Ga. hospital. He had formerly lived in Irvington and was graduated from Butler where he returned to teach English after attending Harvard university. He later became a member of the Indiana university faculty and served as an editorial writer for an Indianapolis paper, From 1021 to 1942 he was editor and director of Charles Scribner & Sons. He was a brother of the late Dr. Thomas Carr Howe, for whom the high school here was named. At the time of his death he had been visiting professor of English at Emary university and.the University of Georgia. - He is survived by his wife; three children, Robert Pulson Howe, Miss Rebecca Howe and Elizabeth Lucia Howe, all of New York; a nephew, Addison Howe, Indianapolis, and one grandson. .
