RALEIGH A. GIBSON GETS CONSUL POST

Times Washington Bureau WASHINGTON, Nov. 28.—Raleigh A. Gibson, native of Indianapolis and University of Illinois graduate, has been promoted to the post of consul general and assigned to Salonika, Greece, the state department announced today. He has been in the foreign servfce since 1920. His present post is that of first secretary at San Jose, Costa Rica. Mr. Gibson was an army lieutenant in world war I, after graduating from the university in 1917. His foreign service assignments have included Buenos Aires, Tenerife, Tegucigalpa and Mexico City.
