Symphony Story To Be Released
A brief “Story of the Indianapolis Symphony orchestra,” written in 1943 by Booth Tarkington for Fae bien Sevitzky, will be distributed to the concert audiences at the Murat tonight and tomorrow. Written by Mr. Tarkington to be held until such time as Dr. Sevitzky wished to release it, the tribute to Indianapolis and its orchestra is being published in connection with Dr. Seyvitzky's 10th anniversary with the orchestra. Dr. Sevitzky has planned the week-end’s programs as a memorial to Tarkington, including Mrs. Tarkington's selection of Beethoven's “Eroica” symphony as the late novelist's favorite, The Tarkington story of the orchestra, dated Feb. 14, 1943, concludes with the following tribute: “This orchestra, born .out of a homespun American background and now gallant and vigorous, like
