Prices of soft drinks-have been raised slightly during the last week by several bottling plants. The raise applies to both fountain and bottled drinks, a survey made today indicates. Many retail stores were charging 29 cents for the popular carton of six bottles, while a six-cent soft] drink was the practice at some! fountains, However, one bottling firm official said he thought the one-eighth cent raise a glass in cost to the retailer “might well be absorbed, rather than upping the price al penny.”
