STATE LABOR LAW CHANGES FAVORED

Indiana employers favor removal of restrictions on hours during which women can work, the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce said today. The chamber said it based its conclusion on a recent state-wide poll. Most employers favor extension of certain wartime emergency state employment laws regarding working hours for women, due to expire next March 1, but are opposed to changes in child labor laws, The survey showed employers prefer laws permitting women over 18 to be employed “around the clock; girls, 16 to 18, be employed until 10 p. m,, and suspend all ve= strictions against work on Sunday.
