New Kautskys Make Their Bow Against Oshkosh Five
This Evening at Fieldhouse
By BOB STRANAHAN National league basketball comes to the Butler fieldhouse tonight with considerable window dressing and a list of names quite familiar to Indianapolis hardwood fans. The piece d'occasion is the new Kautskys versus the Oshkosh AllStars and the starting time is 8:30 p.m. The term “new” Kautskys is used to differentiate from the “old” Kautskys, who operated rather spasmodically during the recent strife and with a sort of fluctuating cast of characters. All is changed now. Frank Kautsky and General Manager Paul Walk have 10 athletes under bonafide contract. They've. been practicing together for more than a month and have hopes of becoming Indianapolis citizens if they can find places to live. No Preliminaries Also, the club has invested a sizable sum of currency in a new bus to haul players to various points over the country for league and other encounters. And there's a downtown ticket booth in the Clay-
pool hotel drug store for the con-| venience of the customers. But wait, there's more. The new management is operating. on the | theory that the fans are coming ous] to see National league ball, so that's all they'll see. No preliminaries to sit through. For the opener there'll be a little | more than the usual fanfare, spot-| lights picking out the players for known to Hoosier fans, their local introduction and an, The Kautskys have warmed up 18-piece band. {with a couple of exhibition victories Some of the Kautskys are quite and Coach Ernie Andres claims his familiar to the professional "sport, charges are spoiling for league acothers just fresh from college tion against competition in their
