Louis Ludlow, Democratic congress man elected for the 10th time from the Indianapolis district, has a record never equaled by any other Hoosier, According to Library of Congress researchers, Mr. Ludlow is the only Indianan ever elected to the house 10 times, Nearest approach was the late Republican Rep. Will Wood, who served nine terms and was defeated for a 10th. Still in a mountain retreat in Pennsylvania, where he has been recuperating for several months from the after-effects of influenza, Mr. Ludlow had a message of thanksgiving to Marion county voters issued from his office yesterday, Deep Sense of Humility It reads: “I should like first of ‘ajl to tell the people of Marion county of the deep sense of humility and at the same time of the buoyancy of spirit that has come to me in my election for the 10th time as their representative in congress, “It 1s Impossible at the moment for us to foresee what the months ahead will bring.
