Whitehouse, national president. ~ The action was taken -at a meeting of the general committee at the Women's Action committee's nae tional headquarters’ here’ In ane nouncing its decision the organi zation considered what forms of racial discrimination would be faced by delegates from its member organization, the National Association of Colored Women, Inc. One particular , discrimination was that of securing hotel accommodations. Mrs. Whitehouse said that because of this barrier, provisions would be made for housing these delegates in the private homes . of Washington hostess members of the committee. Selection of the national capitol, Mrs. Whitehouse said, was dictated by its Importance to the purpose of the Women's Action committee, which is to secure the support of congress in strengthening the United Nations.
