The Rockets were forced to delay their home inaugural because an ice show. held forth at their rink. Philadelphia is just getting back into hockey after remaining out of the league during the war years.

Jim Conacher of the Caps probably will return to action against Pittsburgh here tomorrow after missing two games because of injuries, but Coach Tommy Ivan will not decide definitely on’ his lineup until a few minutes before game time at 8:30 p. m. Pittsburgh started slowly this year, losing two of its first three encounters. Since that time, however, the club has turned in two victories and three ties to move into a contending position. The Hornets top the league in goals, with 41, but the Caps lead on defense with only 17 markers against ‘Goalie Red Almas in eight games.

In other important games, Marquette beat Detroit, 21 to 20; Wake Forest drubbed Chattanooga, 32 to 14; South Carolina topped Citadel, 19 to 7; Miami beat Villanova, 26 to 21, and the University of Hawaii nipped College of Pacific, 19 to 13.
