Plans will be made today for a series of statewide meetings to further patriotism at the T7th annual
convention of. the Great Council bf Indiaha, Improved Order of Redmen. The convention is in ‘its one-day session in she Claypool notel with approximately 1000 delegates in attendance. In addition to the expansion of its Americanism program, the fraternal order will elect officers and discuss ways for an increased membership. State and national officers will give addresses and memorial services for members who died ii the year will ‘be held. BE. C. Wilcox of Dayton, O , & past great incohonee of the great “counetl, is scheduled to give a talk on the order's national program. J. Otto = || Barker of Greensburg, great sachem | of the Indiana council will preside at the convention. R. R. Evans of Spencer, chairman of the memorial committee, will preside at the memorial service. Burton Davis of Indianapolis, veteran of world war II and member of Newasa tribe is unopposed for the office of great senior sagamore. He is now great junior sagamore. Committee reports will be given and members who have been P2dmen for 50 years or more will be recognized.
