The 38th annual convention of the seventh district, Indiana Federation of Clubs, was held today in the Claypool hotel assembly room. Mr. W, C. Bartholomew, district president, opened the morning session during which department and division -chairmen's’ reports were heard. The speakers this morning were Mrs. Brandt Downey, who discussed housing and building codes; Mrs. Arnold Ulbrich, East Chicago, whose topic was “The Heritage of Amerfean—¥outh,” and C. FP, Kohlmeyer,
who spoke on vocational and rehabilitation services for the blind.
Luncheon Held Following a 12:15 p. m. luncheon in the Riley room of the hotel, Mrs. W. H. Lykins, Covington, I, F. C. president, spoke on “Our Changing | Emphasis.” » { In her talk, Mrs. Lykins urged | clubwomen to make their organizations “centers for consideration of current problems and for plans of action.” “While emphasis on externals changes with the year,” she said, “there are things of the past which we must not let go . . , emphasis on home -life, on the ethical and spiritual direction of the church, and on education for ourselves as well as for young people.” Candidates for Office Other speakers at the afternoon session were Mrs. Oscar A. Photoplay Group To Meet Tuesday
The Indianapolis Indorsers of Photoplays will meet at 10 a. m. Tuesday in the west room of the War Memorial building to observe presidents day. Mrs. Roscoe R.
