PENS-IN AIR SHIPMENT
CHICAGO, Oct, 3 (U. P.).—An airplane has been chartered to fly $1,000,000 worth of fountain pens to India, it was announced here today. The announcement was made by Frank Lamb, president of the Reynolds Pen Co., who said the shipment with weigh 10,000 pounds and will include 100,000 fountain } pens.

3 JAPS ARE SEIZED FOR KILLING FLIERS
TOKYO, Oct. 3 (U. P.).—Three Japanese officers accused in’ the execution of U. S. fliers, and 13 other war criminal suspects have been arrested and jailed in Sugamo prison, the allied headquarters legal section announced today. One was Maj. Gen. Saburo Kawamura, charged with ordering the arrest of 7000 Chinese at Singa-
pore. Five thousand of them were executed. Lt. Col. Seiichi” Adachi was
charged with executing fliers without trial. Lt. Cmdr. Hidehiro Kamikawa was accused in the deaths of two other airmen, and ‘Capt. Kiumoto Tarita was charged with directing a party which decapitated 16‘ fliers, three of whom he beheaded personally.
