WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 (U.P.).— The cost of home-made hot cakes and waffles is going up. OPA today authorized increases of from 2 to 3 cents in the retail ceiling price of the popular 20-ounce

and waffle mix. The same boost goes for prepared buckwheat pancake mix. OPA said the raises were necessary because of recent increases in

P).— Three psychiatrists prepared a report today on a series of sanity tests given William Heirens, 17, confessed triple slayer, and said their findings would be presented in criminal court Wednesday. Dr, Harry R. Hoffman, state alienist, William H. Haines, head of the Cook county behavior clinic, and Foster Kennedy, head of the neurological department at Bellevue hospital, New York, completed the tests yesterday.

HEAD DIES AT 80

George M. Cornelius Native Of Terre Haute.

George M. Cornelius, founder and

board chairman of the Cornelius

Printing Co., died Tuesday in his winter home at Mt, Dora, Fla. He was 80. The printing company executive was a native of Terre Haute. The son of Pembroke and Eliza Cor« nelius, he moved here with his parents when he was 4. He first became interested in printing as a boy, when he printed name cards for his schoolmates,

selling them at 10 cents a dozen. As a youngster he also had a newspaper route, which he covered on a pony. He later became a typesetter for the Minneapolis Journal, and a compositor for the Chicago Post and the Indianapolis News. He was a compositor and proof reader for the government printing office in Washington and later a linotype operator for the Chicago Chronicle and Chicago Journal. Mr, Cornelius founded the Cornelius Printing Co. in 1900. He had one linotype machine and a small room at 148 E. Court st. He was the only employee. Later becoming a partner of E. P. Fulmer, he reorganized his own company in 1910 at 325 N. Capitol ave. The firm subsequently moved to 2475 E. Washington st. and now employs 150 persons. Another printing company founded by Mr. Cornelius at Silver Spring, Md., has 45 employees. Mr, Cornelius was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal church, Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine. He was the first secretary and a past master of Irvington Masonic lodge, which he helped organize, Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alice M. Cornelius; a daughter, Mrs. Melissa J. Cornish; three sons, George H., Pembroke W. and Philip M. Cornelius, all of Indianapolis, and 11 grandchildren.

Hardegan st., East Edgewood, former teacher, who died yesterday in Methodist hospital. A teacher 35 years, Mr. Hensley taught history a year at Fleming Garden public school 14. He also had taught school in La Porte, Sullivan, Bloomingtofi and other Monroe county towns. At one time a trustee in Monroe county, Mr. Hensley attended Indiana and Butler universities and Central Normal college. A native of Monroe county, Mr. Hensley was a member of Edgewood Methodist church. Burial will be in Clear Creek cemetery, Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nell Hensley; three sons, Hugh, Ander-

GREENLEE ATTACKS SPRINGER CHARGES

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Aug. 29 (U. P.).—Pleas E. Greenlee, Democratic state chairman, today was on record with the charge that Repubican Chairman H, Clark Springer’s excuse for the lack of a G. O. P. state program was to “attack the progress made by Democrats.” Mr. Greenlee, addressing a Huntington county Democratic organization meeting here last night, said his party had a progressive legislative and administrative program in Indiana. “Progress as defined by the G. O. P. chairman is radicalism,” he said.

troops—it was announced today.

Hartmann, wanted as a war criminal, was captured by American agents after a German policeman who served in Luxembourg recognized him in a cafe at Aichach near Augsburg.
