120 AUDITORIUM
SITE PROPOSED
Would Locate Civic Building At Walnut and Delaware.
A second site has been proposed for a civic auditorium for Indianapolis. | Edward’ D. Pierre, architect and planning consultant here, suggested that the prospective building be located at the corner of Walnut and Delaware sts. The announcement was made yesterday by Addison J. Parry, secretary of the city-county auditorium board. Previous Proposal Previously the board had received a proposal that the auditorium be situated on the ground between Michigan and North sts. along Pennsylvania st. In suggesting the site Mr. Pierre said: “The location has distinct advantages over any other site. The building would be planned in connection with the accepted comcunity center, the World War Memorial plaza.” Clarifying his proposal, Mr. Pierre said the Delaware st, frontage from Walnut to St. Clair st., where school 2 is located, could be included in the auditorium grounds if desired. The property facing Pennsylvania st. and a half block deep would not be needed.
