ADDS 2 COACHES:
Two new diesel motor coaches have been added to the Ipdianapolis Railways fleet, according to James P. Tretton, vice president and general manager of the com-
pany. . Part of a 30-vehicle order, the new busses were delivered Thursday by General Motors Corp. The remaining vehicles have been promised for delivery in November, Mr. Tretton said. Equipped with hydraulic drive, the new vehicles will carry 41 passengers, In Bervice Soon They will be placed in service as soon as fare registers, door treadles and necessary adjustment for passenger service can be made the railways official said. Some of the features of the new vehicles include “transom windows,” lights over each seat, improved ventilation, glareproof windshields and modernized brake systems. Mr. Tretton said they cost $16,000 each. The transportation company also has on order five Twin Coach busses and 15 trackless trolleys.
DROWNED IN CLAY PIT ROCKVILLE, Aug. 17 (U. P).— Rites were planned today for Ben Mershon, 15, Bloomingdale, who drowned yesterday while swimming in a Clay mine pit near Annapolis. The body was recovered two hours after he was reported missing.
