VETERANS’ PAPER "HAS NEW EDITORS

“Times Special BLOOMINGTON, Ind, Aug. 15. Robert M. Towns, of Warsaw, purple heart veteran of the invasion .of southern France, and Mrs. Frank C. Massey of Muncie, former WAC and wife of a veteran, have taken over as co-editors the publication of “The Veteran, an independent bimonthly newspaper for student veterans at Indiana university, Both are students in the department of journalism, The new editors succeed Mr. and Mrs. William L. Small, of Knightstown, who founded the newspaper last January. Small will complete his, course with the end of the summer term and he and his wife have accepted editorial positions on the Putnam County Graphic, published at Greencastle. CRAWFORDSVILLE GRANTS PAY HIKES Times Special : CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind, Aug. 15.—All of Crawfordsville city employees have been ‘granted an $18 a month pay raise, effective immediately. The raise applies to every department in the city ,government and to all those on the city payroll with the exception of elected officers. It is estimated that the raise will cause an increase of $12,000 annually in the payroll,
