A DOUBLE-RING CEREMONY united Miss Mary Elizabeth Lowe and Thomas J. Pierce at 9:30 o'clock this morning in St. Joan of Arc Catholic church. The Rev. Fr, William Buhmeir read the vows. ~~ The bride chose a gown of white nylon sheer over
ruffled yoke, long tight sleeves and full skirt that extended into a long train. , White roses held her fingertip veil of illusion edged in lace, and her bouquet was of white roses and white orchids. Maid of honor was Miss Genevieve Hennegan, cousin of the bride. She wore a white nylon sheer frock over rose satin, and the bridesmaids, Mrs. Robert Williams and Miss Frances Schlotter, wore white nylon over yellow and aqua satin. Jack Gans of Richmond attended the bridegroom, and ushers were Edward O. Lowe of Springfield, O., and Vernon R. Lowe of Cairo, Ill. A wedding breakfast at the Southern Mansion followed the ceremony, and a reception was held there this afternoon, After a 10-day trip north, the couple will be at home with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs, V. F. Lowe. Mr, Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Ernest Pierce.

BEFORE A BACKGROUND of palms, candelabra and white gladioll, Miss Edith Spickelmier became the bride of John K. Greer at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon in the Fairview Presbyterian church, The Rev. F. M. Smith of the Central Avenue Methodist church heard the vows. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Spickelmier, and Mr, Greer's parents are Mr, and Mrs, Allen C. Greer. Mrs. G. W. Spicklemire was her sister's matron of honor. She wore a yellow marquiset dress made with a romance neckline, threequarter sleeves, shirred bodice and full skirt. Bridesmaids were Mrs. M. N. Samms and Miss Patricia Moores, who wore green marquiset frocks like Mrs. Spicklemire’s. Allen W. Greer was best man for his brother, and ushers were Carl F, Spickelmier, brother of the bride; Mr. Spicklemire, Harvey Morehouse and Mr. Samms. A reception was held at the Marott hotel after the wedding, and the couple left on a motor trip South. They will be at home in Lafayette.
