TERRE HAUTE, Ind. Aug. 9 (U.| P.).—The first $150,000 payment to| the Indiana United Mine Workers (A. P. of L.) welfare fund will be made Aug. 15, Lt. Cmdr, Charles Poe announced today. The payment was based on five cents per ton for three million tons to July 15 by 72 Hoosier mines under navy supervision. Cmdr. Poe heads the federal coal administration mines in Indiana He said the second payment was due Sept. 15, covering the period of July 15 to Aug. 31.
