LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (U. P). —Mrs. Mary Monroe, whose glamour became>a neighborhood issue in three court battles, today sued to divorce Aircraft executive Edwin Monroe. The pretty matron won the title of “glamour wife” when she contested Mr. Monroe's 1644 divorce charges that she left herself go by calling a*parade of neighbors to testify she was the most gamorous housewife in the district. “She wore a nightgown at the breakfast table,” Mr, Monroe had complained. It wasn? a nightgown, she said; it was a seductive black negligee. He said she was dowdy. Mrs. Monroe personally convinced the judge otherwise. Mr, Monroe lost his suit for divorce, and Mrs. Monroe won hers for separate maintenance. In filing for divorce, yesterday, Mrs. Monroe charge mental cruéelty and said an out of court property settlement gave her custody +of their child, Martha Elaine, 5, and $100 a month Support.
