The Indianapolis Power & Light Co. and its subsidiaries earned more money in the 12-month period ended June 30 than for the same period in 19485, officials revealed today. However, H. T, Pritchard, president, asserted in a letter accompanying the consolidated statement of income that rate reductions put in effect June 1, coupled with increased expenses probably would cut
the utility’s future income.
The -utility’s statement showed a net income of $2834,401 for the period ended last June 30 as compared to $2,121,132 for the similar year-ago period. Total operating expenses deductions from gross amounted to $1502418 for the period compared with figures of the 1945 totals.
