» ~ ~ IN THIS grabbing game the ousewife sometimes was as bad as the big profiteer. She hoarded food when there were scarcities, even as she accused manufacturers of hoarding products. She encouraged inflation by buying what she didn't need. The crisis we now face is as dangerous to our future as the Battle of the Bulge. Oh yes, we loved our country then! How much do we love it now? Our actions will speak louder than all our words in the next few weeks. If every woman buys wisely and only those articles she must have, she can help turn the nation toward prosperity. If she goes on a shopping binge, because she fears higher prices tomorrow, she can steer it toward disaster.
