Times Special GREENCASTLE, Ind. July 30.— Two former DePauw university professors have accepted new positions. 4

Dr. Glenn W. Giddings, former professor of physics and assistant dean of men, has been named personnel director of the research laboratory of the General Electric Co., President Clyde E. Wildman has announced. Dr. Giddings, a graduate of Cornell college and the University of Wisconsin, joined the DePauw physics staff in 1930 and was given a leave of absence in 1942 for special war work in the radiation labora of the Massachusetts Institute Technology. He goes to his new post directly from the Massachusetts school. ' Dr. Earland Ritchie, who became professor of physics in 1048 with the beginning df navy V-12 units on the campus, will become head of the physics department at Centre col» lege, Danville, Ky., with the opening of the new school year.
