Instead of a turret there is an elaborate super-structure in three sections. One extends from the stern of the tank about 10 feet and may be lowered instantly by firing small powder charges which frees the pins holding it in position, Joining it is a 25-foot section which slopes up from the rear of the tank to a height of about 15

For scaling embankments, the movable section simply is thrown to the top, making an incline up which the tanks can travel. Half-a-dozen of the “ramps” were shipped to Europe before the end of hostilities, and maneuvers were car ried out with two of them in preparation for storming the Grebe line in Holland. WASHINGTON, July 25 (U. PJ). —Don Victor Andrade, Bolivian ambassador to the United States, today cabled his resignation to the new Bolivian government. He sent the resignation after receiving an official dispatch from the Bolivian foreign office that a new government had been formed. He became ambassador in December, 1944, He was minister of labor in the first cabinet of the late president Gualberto Villarroel.
