Banana-cream coconut pie is deMicious when correctly made. Too often one sees the filling for this pie made so stiff that when wedges are cut, they stand up straight, stiff
and stodgy. Perfect cream filling sags _ when it is cut, it may even flow just enough to almost hide the cut edge of the pastry. Although you may be short on the ingredients for this pie, the recipe will be good to keep.
«a 8 = RAW BEET PERFECTION SALAD (Fer Monday dinner) Soften 1 tablespoon unfiavored gelatin in % cup cold water for five minutes. Add 1% cups boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and % cup lemon juice. Cool; then add 1 cup cut green beans, 4 cup diced celery, 14 cup raw beets, 33 cup diced cucumber, 1 tablespoon green pepper and ¥% teaspoon grated onion. Pour into shallow pan” 8'2 by 4%: inches. Chill until set, Cut into serving pieces and serve on lettuce or other greens, topped with a spoonful of dressing, If desired.

Add remaining hot milk and cook over direct heat until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Beat egg yolks well, stir in a little of the hot mixture,” and pour back into the double boiler.

Trip to Dunes Follows Ceremony
The home of the bride's aunt and uncle was the scene of the wedding of Miss Freda Brill and Morris I. Coben at 4:30 p. m. yesterday. Rabbis Samuel Katz and Michel Albagli read the service at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brill, 1919 N. Meridian st. The bride is the daughter of David Brill, 1407 Charles st., and Mr. Cohen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Cohen, 1142 8. Capitol. The bride wore a white lace suit, white accessories and a corsage of white roses. Her sister, Miriam, her only attendant, wore a lime dress with white accessories and gardenia corsage. Ben Cohen attended his brother, A reception followed the ceremoney, and the couple took a trip to Dunes State park. They will be at home in Muncie after July 28. The bridegroom is a graduate of Butler university.
