LITTLE CHANGE IN HUGHES CONDITION
BEVERLY HILLS, Cal, July 15 (U. P.).—Little change was reported
in the condition of millionaire How- |
ard Hughes today. This followed a 36-hour period
in which he showed ‘definite im-|
provement” in his fight to survive airplane crash injuries. A bulletin issued at 5 a. m. (Indianapolis Time) by his personal physician, Dr. Verne Mason, said “Mr. Hughes’ condition has changed very little in the past 12 hours. It remains critical.”

ber, | More Delay Seen Molotov's refusal to appoint a special group of deputies to study the German problem more thoroughly 3nd his continued demand that the matter be settled at the current bigifour sessions—or at a special ‘meeting at the end of the year—only means more delay. | The Soviet minister's stubborn resistance to any control commission to operate in the Russian zone of Germany lends the impression that the Russians want to hide some 'preparations which need more time to mature, One version is that no allied controller will be admitted to the
Russian zone before the great shift of populations from East Prussia] and Silesia, westward, is over. Another is that the German Communist party, still in its infancy, needs a few more months to prepare for taking up the reins of | government. | As things stand today the bigfour position as regards Germany's future is more confused than ever. The French viewpoint is opposed | by that of both Britain and Russia; that of the British by Russia and | France; that of Russia by France,

Army Plans Sending Men and Dependents Aboard Same Ship
By RAY MITTEN Timea Kpecinl Writer WASHINGTON, July 15—Army men with dependents soon will have their families with them on the same ship when they go overseas,
“the adjutant general's office says:
With the transportation corps, it is working to speed the migration of dependents going overseas. The
office says they will be moving] * A breakdown of June embarka-

A total of 7789 families were approved to go to the European theater between April 1 and July 31. So far only 3022 have embarked, but Lt. Col. R. F. Oakes of the transportation corps is confident the rest will have left by the end of this-month, on i Prom April 1, when the rs gn really began, to June 27, a total of 5800 families had gone to all thea-

Here's where 2227 went: Europe 1392, Alaska 49, South Atlantic 111, Africa and Middle East 5, Mediterranean 123, Mid-Pacific 232, West Pacific 3, Japan and Korea 312.
