Almost as if she cut it herself.” Producer David Lewis nodded. Then he had a brainstorm. Why not, says he to himself, set a new national style? So he called in Frank Frederick, West Coast representative for the Hair Fashion Council of America, Inc. Seems the gentleman with [the breathless title , offi|ctal hair styles the National Hairdressers association. “Better Be Sure” Then Mr, Lewis hired Lillian Lashin, who's been slicking’ up movie queens’ hair for some 20 years now, rounded up the reporters, and told the boys to go to it. It was time to chop off eight inches. With much ceremony hairdresser Lasin lifted her shears. “Make sure this is the way you want it, gentlemen,” Miss Bergman grinned. “Because this is one thing we can't try another way.
