Attacked by Dog. Chokes It to Death
HAMMOND, Ind, June 17 (U. P.).—Virgil Forch, 34, told today how he choked a dog to death when the animal clamped its teeth on his upper lip and would not let go. Mr. Forch said he heard the dog bark and stopped his automobile to see if he had struck it. A mongrel female weighing about 15 pounds sprang from bushes beside the road. Leaping at him, the dog ground its teeth into his lip. Mr. Forch choked the dog to death. Deputy Sheriff Wayne Peters drove up and pried the dead dog's jaws apart. Eight stitches were taken in Mr. Forch's lip.
