A recent activity in which Mr. Panden takes pride was his part in organizing the original Indianapolis Symphony orchestra. For many years the retired music teacher led the Panden Brothers’ orchestra which played concerts, receptions and. dances thmoughout the country. Played at Speedway -He has had wide experience in theatrical work. During the 13 years of legitimate music at the Circle theater, he continuously occupled a chair in the violin section of the orchestra. He has played in all of the large theaters here. Although Mr, Panden has retired from teaching and regular musical employment, he still retains his place in the reed section of the military band. He marched® ang played at the Speedway races this year, Through the efforts of Mr. Panden and his associates the-military band has been kept alive for 55 years.
