One of the real radio veterans, “Lux Radio Theater,” completes its 10th year on the air from Hollywood tonight at 8. Ethel Barrymore | will be on hand to help the celebration along by appearing in the roll which won her an Oscar in 1945 as Ma Mott in “None But The Lonely Heart.” In a fourth quarter substitution, Brian Ahearn is replacing Cary Grant as the son who should live so long because of his shennanigans, and treatment of his mater. Since this is the anniversary, the others who should take a bow are William Keighley, producer and director, and Lou Silvers, who arranges and directs the musical interludes. The show, incidentally, deserves a plug for the nice little habit of always announcing the name of every actor appearing, regardless of size or weight. » 2 = » o ~ At 7, Jackie Coogan continues his acting comeback as the local yokel in “Forever Ernest.” Coogan, who hit the skids several years ago and had plenty of home troubles to boot, is capitalizing on a voice that forgot to grow with his britches. Tonight, while trying to play the part of a good humanitarian, the soda jerk takes a dose of serum that makes him tell the whole truth and nothing but, and therefore sets the town on its ear, » » 2 8 'S ” Something new in the way of Monday evening listening with the shoes off Is “Crime Photographs” at 7:30. This bit of business, which deals with the antics of the photo flash, Staats Cotsworth, is the same show formerly heard at 9 p. m. Tuesday. It will breathe the studio air vacated by Joan Davis when she vamoosed for the summer following her show last week. X » n on » " ” Further proof positive that Monday night is a hot-shot for drama qver the Columbia network, comes with the “Screen Guild Players” half hour at 9. Harry Davenport recreates his famous role in “Lightnin” and in the same operation, celebrates his 75th year in show business. What he did with his life before that I don't know—just wasted it, I suppose. » » n ” ” ” But play actin’ ain’t the only thing to be heard tonight. Bob Hawk, topflight ad lib artist and quick with a quip will be on his regular Camel show at 9:30. The Camels he dishes out in tonight's quiz-biz will go to army and navy hospitals. n n » ” n ”~ Eileen Farrell is slated to sing selections from Wagner and Verdi tonight at 10:30. If you like your topee parted in a long hair manner like ot there, you will also hear the Columbia Symphony backing her up on othef numbers by Franz Rachmaninoff, and Busser—three more jive artists who went wrong. ” n ” » n » The face lifting bug Is biting deep into Indianapolis and Elllen Frederic will Interview the fellow most likely to do something about it on her daily “Ayres Program” tomoftrow at 3:25. Mr. Otto K. Jersen, executive secretary of the Indianapolis Redevelopment Commission, is the man with the answers about just what will be done to.spruce up the blighted areas around and ahout the town. ” ” s ” » » “Business Highlights,” the five minute stanza of commercial news teletyped to Indianapolis every night from New York, moves to 10:15 tonight, following Gilbert Forbes' regular nighttime edition of the news.

Beane, investment firm, keeps a finger on the pulse of the nation through the channels wherein the money flows, It's a clinical chart which should interest everyone with a buck in his jeans. It will be heard at 10:15, Monday through Friday, from this point forward--or, are we too? 8 8 8 e “8. 8 When Sam Sims spins the discs for his daily 7:30 “Top of the. dally,

DEAR JANE JORDAN: I moved into this neighborhood almost a year ago and in my 21 years of married life I never have had neighbors like these. I have done everything I know to get rid of three of them but tell them outright to go home and stay there, but still they come back. If it isn’t one in the house, it's the other, and if I don't get some peace soon I'll lose my mind. I haven't been in their homes since last summer. I thought that if I stayed away from them they would let me alone but things are still the same. I have almost ignored them when they come in and even that doesn’t work out. We have tried to get a_house out

them out,

When they came in the house I would ask them to go home and tell them I didn't have any time tol When people are so insensitive they can't take a hint, then they have to be told to stay home in uncertain terms. nothing in common and there is no reason for you even to be kind,
