Wells and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bayard Hicks. The vows * will be exchanged before an altar banked with palnis, candelabra and vases of white gladioll and white peonies. Cathedral candles’ will line the church walls. Given in marriage by her father, the bride will wear an antique fvory satin gown fashioned with a bateau neckline accented with a seed pearl design, long sleeves outlined with seed pearls, and a full skirt falling into a train, A braided satin tiara will hold her full-length tulle veil in place. She will carry a French bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis centered with a white orehid. ’ a = =» uy Miss Sara Jean Wells, the bride's twin sister, will be the maid of honor, and bridesmaids will be another sister, Miss Margaret Ellen Wells, and the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Walker Downing. The attendants will be dressed alike in white net frocks styled with dropped shoulders, cape collar effects, fitted basques and full skirts accented with tiers of ruffles and soft bows. They will wear ivy bands in their hair. The maid of honor will carry an arm bouquet of white gladioli, white peonies and American Beauty roses, and the bridesmaids wil] carry Picardy gladioli. Mr. Downing will be the best man and ushers will be Gerald H. Rutherford of Chicago, Richard Phipps, Union City; James Wiley, John Robert Fulton, James Crooks and Wallace Yakey. A reception in the erystal ballroom of the Marott hotel will follow the ceremony. The couple will leave for New York with the bride traveling in a black and white print crepe frock with black accessories and an corsage. They will live in Bloomington.
