i Let's begin with 6 o'clock tonight and carry on through the important broadcast hours. We could have started with Gilbert Forbes and ended with him, toe, but everyone knows Indianapolis’ favorite news broadcaster is heard daily at 5:45 p. m. and 10 p. m.; so we'll tell you what is sandwiched in between. And if there is 4 enough space left over, there are some interesting programs tomorrow morning and afternoon you will want to know about.

4

s wx = So it is 8 o'clock and here is Lanny Ross with Evelyn Knight. The

kids sing songs of the open spaces tonight. Among them are “Carry Me Back to the Lone Prairie” and “Sioux City Sue” The dirty little goward who shot Mr, Howard gets another going over when Lanny sings “Billy The Kid.”

» ” ” Okeh, that was gopd. Comes now J. Smith. Jack and Lanny, by the way, will take simultaneous vacations this year, later in the summer for five weeks. Both work for the same outfit, you know. Anyway, Jack's guests,” we're told, are The Starlighters Quintet. They sing. They are a group of mixed voices. Five in all, I think.

w» * » If "you have a long range set and stay up late, you can tune in the Riggs show at 10:30. If you hit the sack at an early hour, ough, WFBM carries the Borden Company program at 6:30. Betty fou has a new pup, but priority regulations and the lumber shortage I wonder if Betty Lou and her friend Wilbur ever joined with C. McCarthy and M, Snerd on a program. It would be a natcheral; don't you agree? To return to reporting, announcer Jimmy Wallington will be on hand, replacing Don Wilson, who can't make it tonight. > » ~ ” Sometime Henry Aldrich isn't going to get in trouble. I don’t knew when, but it won't be tonight. As usual, Henry gets things gummed up. That's a play on words; gummed up, I mean. Hank has a box of printed labels. His dad gave them to him so the boy would paste them on his possessions. Dad thought this system would keep son from losing all his belongings. The “Property of H. Aldrich” tags appear everywhere with no regard to place or person. 7 p. m. on WFBM. J ‘" ~ Kate has invited actor Willlam Eythe, young Hollywood actor, as ber guest tonight. He will be heard in an original drama. Miss Smith sings, too. Eythe scored in “House on 02nd Street” and “Colonel Effiingham's Raid.”
