Breakfast Follows At Whispering Winds

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church was the scene, at 10 a. m. today, of the wedding of Miss Lillian Juergens and James R. Fox: The Rev. Fr. James Moore officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman G. Juergens, 838 Ellenberger pkwy., and the bridegroom is the son af Mr, and Mrs, Elmer J. Fox, 715 N. DeQuincy. at.

Bride's Gown The bride chose a white nylon satin gown, the bateau neckline caught with simulated seed pearls. It was fashioned with a long train, Her full length {illusion veil fell from a tiara of orange blossoms and she carried calla lilies. Mrs. Wayne Thompson, matron of honor, wore a yellow frock made with a tulle skirt over crinoline, drop shouldérs and a fitted basque. She <¢arried white carnations and wore a matching tiara.

Reception Held

The bridesmaids, Mrs. Robert West and Miss Lorraine Juergens, the bride's sister, wore dresses of pale green nylon taffeta with full skirts and drop shoulders. They carried arm bouquets of white roses and had matching tiaras. A wedding breakfast for the immediate + families and the bridal party was held at Whispering Winds and a reception was held from 2 to 4 po m. in the home of the bride's parents. The couple was to leave on a trip to Miami and will be at home in two weeks at 842 N. DeQuincy st.

Reception Is to Follow Church Rite

A double-ring ceremony at 8:30 p. m. today in the Third Christian church will unite Miss Jeanne F. McArthur and Roland M. Smith. The Rev. A. C. Brooks will read the marriage vows. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Elizabeth Childers, 26 N. Colorado ave, and Mrs. J. Burton Smith, Plainfield. Given in marriage by her uncle, George . A. Gibson, the bride will wear an ivory satin gown with a fitted bodice, full skirt and chapel train. Attendants’ Frocks Her bouquet will be of bride's roses, and her two-tiered veil will be attached to a Juliet cap of tulle. The maid of honor, Miss Betty McArthur, will be dressed in dusty pink taffeta and will carry shaded carnations and wear matching flowers in her hair. : The bridesmaids will wear pastel jersey and carry bouquets of Briarcliff roses. They are Mrs. Lester Bolander, Miss Cornelia, Tomessu and Miss Margie Brown.

Best Man and Ushers

The best man is to be Harlan Smith and ushers will be Robin Beecham, John Struckmeyer Jr. and Mr. Bolander. Following the ceremony there will be a reception in the home of the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. M. M. Hollingsworth, 1225 N. Euclid ave. The bride will wear a black and pink suit with black accessories and a corsage of pink roses as her going-away costume. The couple will go to Cincinnati on their wedding trip.

Couple to Take Trip South

Miss Agnes Rose Fussner became the bride of Charles William Rathz in a ceremony at 9 a. m. today in the Sacred Heart Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. Burchard Conrad read the vows. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Rose Fussner, 1444 8S. Talbot st. and Mrs. Rose Rathz, 1330 Union st. The bride chode an antique ivory Chantilly lace gown worn over ivory Duchess satin and made with a lace collar, shirred waist and a fulllength lace-over-satin train. She had ‘an ivory illusion veil held by a gardenia tiara and carried gardenias. Miss Blanche Drexler, maid of honor, was dressed in aqua and Miss Frances McCarrell and Mrs. Albert Seyfried, bridesmaids, wore peach. The frocks were fashioned alike with knitted bodices, cap sleeves and full chiffon skirts. The attendants wore matching tiaras and carried roses. Joseph Rathz, the bridegroom's brother, was the best man and ushérs were Mr, Seyfried and Robert Berthuram. A breakfast at the Lake Shore Country club followed the ceremony and a reception will be held tonight in the club. The couple will take a trip to New Orleans.
