35,000 ARE X-RAYED HERE: IN § YEARS
More than 35,000 students and industrial workers have been given chest X-rays during the eightyear health program sponsored by the Marion County Tuberculosis association, according to the group's annual report compiled today. The association said the mass chest X-rays had reduced tubercu-| losis considerably due to early dis- | | covery of the disease. The program |also has led to the" early discovery and subsequent cures of other abdominal and chest ailments, the association pointed out. . The report showed that more than 21,000 high school and college students in public and. parochial schools have been X-rayed in the eight-year period in addition to and retail store workers. . The X-ray program has been made possible through the annual sale of Christmas seals.
