type, with five*rooms, a ‘bathroom and utility réom. It has been appraised at $13,000, including the lot in the 5700 block N, Oxford-st., upon which it will be constructed after the home show closes May 19. Plan Sale of House J. Frank Cantwell, managing director of the home show, has announced that the home, once it has been removed from the state fairground and rebuilt, will be offered for sale only to veterans of world war II for the first 30 days. And the price cannot be above $10,000, according to FHA directives. Formal opening of the model house itself will be at 7:30 p. m, tomorrow when a special ceremony will be held at the house entrance. Participating in the ceremony will be four pet ram lambs, popularized last winter when Walt Disney signed them to a ‘Hollywood contract, then rejected them because of movie production schedules. The lambs, “Willie,” “Midnight,” “Blackie” and “Toots,” will have a circular pen to the rear of the home and periodically will be allowed to roam the lawn.

Expect Record Crowds Home show directors are expecting new attendance records for this year’s first post-war show. The previous high attendance figure was 103,000 set in 1938. The di-

rectors believe this will be bettered because of record-breaking marks set this year in Cleveland, Toledo, Detroit and Minneapolis and because there is more interest today in housing than ever before. The “House o' Ideas” was designed by three local architects, Leslie F. Ayres, James L. Kingsbury and Charles D. Ward, and buiit by the Bridges & Graves firm. L. S. Ayres & Co. and the Rainier Furniture Co. have furnished the interior. A double thickness wall of concrete blocks faced with white painted "bricks and slanted living room and dining room windows that stand eight feet from floor level are featured in the design. Windows Part of Support The windows that comprise one side of the wall in the two rooms

are a part of the structured support for the room. Corner windows in each of the two bedrooms are five feet above floor level. Modernistic electrical appliances have been installed tHroughout the rooms. A marble-trimmed fireplace in the living room will be flanked on one side by built-in cabinets that conceal a radio, typewriter, desk and movie projector, The utility room will contain a compact forced-air oil burning unit for heating, hobby bench, shelves for indoor flower boxes and a wall of translucent glass that separates it from the kitchen.

Over 100 Exhibitors

A scroll design frames the entrance to the home and the front door, painted brick red, is embossed with. three large wood cylinders that are set off in white. More than 100 exhibitors that
