Ash, trash and garbage collections have been changed to » the summer schedule. Starting this week garbage will be collected on two days a week. Starting week, ashes
and trash will be collected once every two weeks. In the North district, which takes in. all of the city North of Washington Street and West of the Monon Railroad, collection of ashes and trash started on the new schedule Mon-
day. May 6. Collections will be made on the regular day of the week os they were under the winter schedule. HowMl ever, they will be made every two weeks instead of every week. -All- collection crews are now busy coliecting ashes and trash in the North district. In the South district, which includes all of the city East of the Monon Railroad and South of Washington Street. there will be no ash and trash collection this week, because the new summer schedule | effect. Evafis of Chicago; were taken from the bench by ailments. Judge Evans, who replaced Judge Baltzell in the case after the latter was stricken last month, himself fell ill this week-end. At the hearing here in the federal building, Bauer, former Ft. Harrison photographer, will’ try to prove he still retains his naturalized U. 8 citizenship and thus can’t be deported to Germany. The war department is ‘requesting Bauer's deportation om claims he became a German agent after serving in the Nazi army Bauer, who denies the charges,| later enlisted "in the U. S. arnty. He was assigned to Ft. Harrison where he was held incommunicado after tht war, then sent to Ellis Island. He was returned to the Marion county jail here, where he is| now imprisoned.
