Two-Car Crash.

One Indianapolis man was dead as the result of a traffic accident today and another Indiana resident was killed in a two-car crash. The dead are: William Hardesty, 21, of 226 N. Holmes ave. Bennett Stroh, 71, of Angola. Mr. Hagdesty died last night in City hospital. He was injured Sunday morning when an automobile ir-which-he--was a passenger was involved in a crash at Belmont ave. and Lambert st. A car driven by Gerald Caldwell, 25, of 2027 W. Washington st, crashed into another vehicle and then into a parked car. Drunkenness Charged He was charged with drunkenness, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and Jeaving the scene of the accident, police said. His case was continued to May 28 in court 3. Mr. Hardesty and another passenger were thrown out of the car by the impact of the crash and were found in the street by police. The other passenger, Miss Edith Ferris, 19, of 3518 W, Morris, was treated and released at City hospital. Police arrested Caldwell at his home after they investigated the crash. They said they found bloody clothes, which he was wearing at the time of the crash, under the mattress in his room. Freemont, at a Steuben county road and Indiana 827 yesterday, Eight other persons were injured in traffic accidents here during the night.
