Services for Walter C. Wachstetter of 6450 Park ave. will be held Saturday at 3 p. m. Mr. Wachstetter, veteran of world war I, died yesterday in Long hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was 55. A member of Marion lodge, PF. and A. M, Mr. Wachstetter had been a lifelong resident of Indianapolis. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Wachstetter, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Reger, of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Carrie Hailway, 781 E. McCarthy st., died today after an illness of five years. She was 66, A native of Indianapolis, she had spent most of her life here. She was a member of the St. Paul Methodist church. Services will be held at 10 a. m. at the J. C. Wilson chapel of the chimes in charge of the Rev. Russell Ford, Cadle Tabernacle. Burial will be in Garland Brook cemetery at Columbus, Ind. Mrs. Hailway is survived by her husband, Harry E, Hailway, and a son, Paul Hailway, both of Indianapolis.
MRS. SALONA PURDUE
Mrs. Salona Purdue, who is survived by 29 great-grandchildren and was the widow of a Civil war veteran, died yesterday, Mrs. Purdue had lived in Indianapolis 82 of her 88 years, although she was born in Canada. Her family includes also 23 grandchildren and three daughters. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Richardson funeral home with the Rev. W. Pranklin Lahr officiating. The Rev. Mr. Lahr is pastor of the Second Evangelical and Reformed church to which Mrs: Purdue belonged. Burial will be in Crown Hill. Mrs. Purdue's daughters are Mrs. Harry Van Stan, Mrs, Lois Weber and Mrs. Ethel Zachary, and her sister, Mrs. Lois Dunn. Al four live here. James Y.
