CORN CHOWDER (For Thursday luncheon) 2 c. diced potatoes 142 ¢, diced onion 1 c. diced celery 2 c¢. boiling water % 1b. bacon % Ib. mushrooms, sliced 3% c. diced green pepper . No. 2% can cream style yellow corn 3 ¢, milk 2% tsps, salt Péel and dice potatoes. Add to onion, celery and water in top of large double bofler. Bring to a boil over direct heat, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile pan fry bacon, Drain on absorbent paper. Saute for five minutes the mushrooms and green pepper in % o. of the bacon drippings. Add this and remaining ingredients to the cooked vegetables and heat to scalding over boing walter.
