One of 76 community trusts operating in this country and Canada, the Indianapolis Foundation has in its 22 years of operation distributed $2,247,489 for philanthropy to 12 agencies in the city according to Eugene C. Foster, director. The annual report shows that last year $06,747.25 was distributed to the Indianapolis Orphan asylum, Public Health Nursing association, St. Margaret's Hospital guild. Society for the’ Hard of Hearing, Flanner House and the Legal Ald society, : Other institutions benefited were the Indianapolis Department of Public Parks, the James E. Roberts school, the Community Fund and the psychopathic ward of the City Hospital. More than 70 high school and college students received scholarship aid.
