BEEF TURNOVERS (For Tuesday 1% ec. flour 2% tsps. baking powder 3 tsp. salt 3 thsps. shortening 13 ¢. milk 15 c. ground cooked meat 3 c. bouillon in 3 ¢. boiling water Sift flour,. measure and resift with baking powder and salt, Cut or rub in shortening. Add milk to make a soft dough. Turn out of floured board and pat out; fold and

Add egg yolk and beat well, Sift flour, measure 1 c¢. and resift with 2 tsps. baking powder and the salt, Add the flour mixture and milk alternately, beginning and ending with the flour, Beat well and pour into a greased pan, 9 by 9 inches. Bake at 400 degrees F. for five minutes. Sprinkle cranberry jelly over the top of the batter and continue baking another 15 or 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve

Matrix Table To Be Held May 21
The Indianapolis chapter of § Theta Sigma Phi, national honorary 1 journalism sorority, will hold its 10th annual Matrix Table May 21 at the Indianapolis Athletic club, Mrs. Rosamond Risser Jones, presi dent, has announced. The banquet will be sponsored both by the alumnae chapter and the Butler university chapter. It marks a return to peacetime activie ties, the banquet having been cane celled last ‘year. * Honor guests will be Hoosier § professional women, including seve eral authors and journalists.
