Sevitzky to Lead N.Y. Philharmonic]
Sevitzky, Indianapolis conductor, will .return this summer for his third season as guest conductor with the New York Philharmonic - Symphony orchestra in Lewisohn stadium. Dr, Sevitzky's New York dates are announced as July 1, 2 and 3. He is conducting his own orchestra in its season's closing pair of concerts in the Murat at 8:30 p. m. | today and 3 p. m. tomorrow, Soloist in the week-end’s concerts will be Patricia Travers, 17-year-old violinist, who will be heard in the Mendelssohn violin concerto. ° Orchestral numbers in the two concerts will be Dvorak's “New World” symphony and Ravel's “Bolero.” Dr. Sevitzky will leave by. plane at 5:45 p. m. tomorrow for Toronto, | Canada, where he will be guest conductor with the Toronto Symphony orchestra Tuesday night.
