JUST ONCE in a college career comes Junior Prqm . . . .. and for the class of 1947 at Butler university, tonight is prom night. The dance will be held in the Egyptian room of the Murat temple. It's the finale for a whirl of activities that ranged all the way from a beard-growing contest for third-year men students to campaigning for the election of a prom queen by. junior men. In between there were ticket sales talks and flurries of phone calls about that important subject—dates. There was trying on of dance frocks in “dress rehearsal” for the big event, And one student did a little rehearsing on the trap drums, just in case he gets a chance to help Max Wilson's band with the dance music. Miss Barbara Jane Seeger, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority member, is the queen chosen to reign at the dance. In her court will be the nine other candidates entered in the race —Misses Kitty Jo Denbo, Joan Durbin, Marjorie Yelvington, Carol St. Clair, Helen Brinkworth, Ann Gill and Mary Louise Miles, all of Indianapolis; Miss Anne Clem, Covington, and Miss Elizabeth Fendig, Rensselaer.
