—Twenty-two thousand pre-built and paneled houses were shipped abroad before the government clamped down on foreign sales to help meet the housing shortage in this country, export reports showed

today. The office of international trade this week added prefabricated

houses and parts to its restricted list, but officials said the export curb has been in effect since the completion of shipments to France. The last of the French government's order of 8111 units was shipped within the last six weeks. Earlier, the ‘government 10,000 pre-fabs to Great Britain under lend-lease and supplied France with 4000 barracks from surplus temporary war housing. The latter were shipped in panel form for re-assembly. French Paid Cash
