Members of the active section of the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale will be heard in concert at 2 p.m. Friday in L. 8B. Ayres & Co. auditorium, The Jordan Harp ensemble, directed by Miss Mary Spalding, will be guest artists in the program. Matinee Musicale members appearing will be Miss Jo Ellen Burroughs, mezzo-soprano; Mrs. Mariaxi K. Thomas, soprano, and Myrtle Tilson, pianist. Walter Whitworth will be Miss Burroughs’ accompanist, and Miss Jané Hampson will accompany Mrs. Thomas, Members of the Jordan Harp ensemble are Carol Baum, Annette Havens, Eleanor Dunlap, Barbara Lamb, Gloria Harvey and Miss Spalding.

Rehearsals Start . * . For 'Blithe Spirit’ Rehearsals of “Blithe Spirit,” Noel Coward comedy to be presented at the Civic theater April 5 through 11, are now under way. Included in the cast are wellknown Civic actors and actresses: Winifred Skyrme, Sheba Cooper, Hal Hawks, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Welch, Helen Buell and Dorothea Craft. A stage and screen success, the play is done in Coward's favorite
setting, an English drawing room. The plot has to do with two wraiths inadvertently summoned by a medium who is also a dinner guest.
LOEW'S RED CROSS QUOTA HERE $300
Out of a total of $40,000 earmarked for the 1946 Red Cross campaign by Loew's theaters nationally, $300 has been allocated to the Marion county chapter, according to Boyd Sparrow, Loew's local manager, Loew's will join with other leading Indianapolis theaters in Red Cross week, March 21 to 27. Tyrone Power will appear on leading theater screen in an appeal for donations.
